We all knew his contract was ending. There's been a lot of speculation of whether he would be offered a new one and, if so, whether he would sign it. As far as I'm aware, there's been no comment or even rumour coming from the club either way (but as said, I may be wrong on that). So yeah. We kept it quiet.

Think i have it right that there are travel restrictions regarding Under 9s to Under 11s and Under12 to Under16 if in Cat1 / 2/ 3 Academy football unless in a full time training model. Had a lad wanting to train at Wigan and Sheffield aged 8 years but because we live in the middle of these was told it was more than an hours travel so got rejected. Apparently U12 to U16 can travel 1.5 hrs to a football academy.

I’d have been concerned if he hadn’t signed up, I think alongside Carlo he’s going to be just fine. If he had left it would have scuppered what is a very important summer. A bit of stability, can’t go chopping and changing all the time

1/ it most definitely IS his job. But the owners bought a dog and barked themselves.
2/ Jeffers, Unsworth, Ebbrell, Baines
3/ he got shut of players for a knock down price, after a fashion. He's had 3 years to get shut of Bolaise and he's still here.
4/ Digne is the one class signing..after 3 years. The rest are tat or bang average.
5/ getting players in that any good manager can use is the first step in getting better PL positions

The onus is on ytou to tell us why he should be handed another 3 seasons here...

After securing approx £20 mill profit in player sales in first 9 months was on about £1 mill. Now supposedly around £2 mill per annum, plus maybe a bonus on top of that.

Moshiri is always going to use a DOF, this being the case we might as well keep Brands, if for no other reason than continuity. His tenure, for me, has been a bit like the ‘curate’s egg’, good in parts. I still can’t get my head around the Iwobi fee, but, Godfrey is going to turn out a great bit of business.
