Breaks during evening matches played over Ramadan

No it's asking everybody to change what they do to accommodate some senseless act based on superstition.

This thread has made me decide to withdraw my recent job application to the diplomatic corps.
That's three times you've called Ramadan a superstition and I'm only on the third page of this thread.

Terrible take that.

In fairness, he's not specifically calling Ramadan superstition, he's calling out religious beliefs (all religious beliefs) as superstition.
That may upset some people, but if he believes it then surely he's as entitled as anybody to express HIS belief.

The poster was specifically calling out Ramadan actually - initially.

He's welcome to his beliefs - we all are, but if you're doing to use degrading language for likes and laughs - deriding an entire culture, expect people to react to it.

The collective pulse within The NEW Arena quickens; a sharp intake of breath as the gates open. Who, or what will emerge? Will @chrismpw ’s battle cries be answered by an adversary worthy of his gargantuan efforts? How many of the passive aggressive gammons already skulking around this thread will be summarily beheaded? One thing is for sure: The bloodthirsty ground of this sacred place will drink its fill.

Tune in, this Friday at 9pm GMT.

I'm sure he did. That's what forums are for is it not? lol

Break your fast, then break your enemies!

It's part of a religion isn't it? All religions are superstition because they are based around belief in stories rather than facts and evidence.

I'm simply stating facts here. Honestly not arsed in getting likes or laughs for it. If it's insulting in any way then maybe it's because it's close to the bone. If it were way off then it could be dismissed as simply froth and ignored.

I'm simply stating facts

Reading the actual story, it is a short break so they can take on some gels or liquids. So probably about 30 seconds, or quarter a Richarlison fake injury

It also says it happened in a league game a couple of seasons ago. I don't remember that happening, I presume hardly anybody on here remembers it happening either which shows just how unpbtrusive it would be.

I'm putting this in the "much ado about nothing" basket, as the breaks will no doubt happen while a player is getting treatment for an injury he pretended to have.

So basically, it's a complete non-issue that's been used as a dog whistle to cause unrest?

Yup, that certainly sounds like the internet alright

To be fair to Chris, he’s a miserable arlarse who hates everything in equal measure.

I don’t reckon he was purposefully being discriminatory.
