I thought young Mr.Galloway deputised admirably for Baines today.
Looked calm and assured and not afraid to get up the pitch to lend support to the midfield and forwards.

Did very well considering he was at left back. Looking forward to hopefully seeing him mature and develop into a class CB.

Nail on the head there, mate. He's obviously not Baines, so the central player on the left of midfield thing didn't work at all. He was left with no support.

All of our width on the left flank came from a 19 year old centre back. Let that sink in.

Really like the look of this lad. He's good on the ball, very quick, and seems to have a good defensive side to his game. Needs to bulk up/work on his strength if he's to be a CB, but that should come naturally as he gets older.

Reminded me of watching Stones play at right back. Obviously left back isn't his natural position but you can't half see the potential there for when he moves over to centre half.

Good performance. Obvious limitations going forward but that's because he's a CB. Could do with filling out a bit more physically but should be a good long term Centre Back.

Looked good to me. A bit of cul de sac running when he got forward, but at least that showed confidence. Some decent/important tackles, especially one early on.

A good prospect, no doubt.

For all the complaints about Martinez and defenders, he appears to have a decent eye for a young one if the early form of Galloway and Browning can be added to Stones's talent.

If only the coaching to get them working together was a bit better.
