Good comments, but makes you wonder why they wanted him in the first place.

If I remember correctly they were very short in full-back when they signed him and he must have been a pretty simple player to bring in as cover. Nyom came in late in the window I think.

I thought he'd already actually played for the first team at the end of 2014/15?

I was there, I saw it with my own eyes, last game v Spus at home.

Should be no reason why he can't play for us proper.

Who? Galloway? He's played for the first team about 20 times. Mostly last season.

I thought we'd looked at bringing him back in the January window but it required giving WBA a shed load of money or something or maybe Pulis wouldn't let him go. It's a shame as he'd be good bench cover for left of defence , then if he gets on who knows . Interestingly his next game is likely to be against Chelsea U23s , this time last season when we played against them he and Holgate were the centre back pairing and Galloway looked by far the more assured player.

But we can't play our own player at a time when we're short on defenders, and who has played for us many times before?

Utter madness.

Looks really bad on WBA not to use him. Nobody wins when that happens. Our youngster not getting the experience he deserves and WBA will surely not get loaned young talent from other teams now. Shame

What on earth has happened to him, looked a good prospect last year, can't have just regressed that badly. How's his attitude if anyone knows at all?

Think it was a bad move loaning him to Pulis & co...has hardly kicked a ball. Probably set him back a year and damaged his chances of first team football next year

On a similar note...Luke Garbutt?? What went wrong there?

Yeah, He's another one, thought he was going to be Baines long term replacement, can't see him making it here now.

He's 24 in a few weeks - not even making the Wigan team if I'm reading things correct...can't see a future for him with us based on that

No I wouldn't imagine. Good left foot on him like, many things can stand in the way of a young lad making it but when you see good promise at a young age it's incredible how many don't push on.

Erm Galloway back in the U23's then, best thing for him as it's a pathway to the first team.
