It may be that Koemans Plan A is three at the back...which pushes Baines up to left defensive midfield, which could eventually mean Baines not being first choice if we buy another midfielder, which is very possible. I like the way Koeman is fixing stuff for now, but also looking ahead. We could be one hell of a team by this time next year.

Good loan deal this, would have preferred him to rough it out in the Championship for a season but let's face it... What do I know about footy compared to the manager. He should come back a better player for it.
Rafael wanted him at Newcastle.
But clearly the player sees West Brom as a bigger club.

Never saw it coming but I'm pretty happy about this. Pulis only does defending so it will be good for him, hopefully he'll get a fair amount of games to get that crispy PL experience

In a recent interview Mirallas said 4 at the back is first choice when everyone is fit.

Why have we sent him to West Brom to learn how to be a big mongy grock who just hoofs everything into row z and kicks people?

I've said before that all he needs is one full season of competitive football at either a promotion chasing Championship team (Newcastle would have done) or a lower level PL team and he will be better than RFM.

Add another season to that back at Everton and Galloway alongside Holgate could well make a formidable pairing.

I'll be happy to see him go and make himself a valuable member of the first team set up.

Good luck lad.

He will have missed out on learning that for almost all the time he has been with us, TBF.

Probably a good move this; loan him out, watch him play all the season, then he comes back and takes over from Baines.

Pulis will drop him as soon as he finds out he's an actual footballer. I'd have much preferred him to go elsewhere, even Newcastle to be fair
