They are cack. They are counter attacking/set piece specialists. If we don't commit too much forward from midfield and let our front 3 cause the damage, we can win this comfortably.

Very, very open lads and ladies, were playing this game by the seat of our pants. We don’t have control of it, we need another in midfield who can get on the ball and give us a bit of control in the game.

Remembers the Southampton game last season. They will open us up for 3 to 4 goals if we continue to play like that!

Don't get the negative feeling from some.

We look good on the ball for the 1st time in years.

Fully deserved lead...I'm impressed so far today.

100%. There's still obvious concerns that need to be worked on but actual the play on the ball is much improved, especially with Iwobi the midfield dynamo, and the defence splitting long passes from the back are going to get us lots of chances this season once the forwards are present and correct.

First the positives. We’re one up and have shown a bit of adventure on the ball. Negatives. The defending is utterly abysmal. Against a more clinical team we’d have shipped 3 or 4. Patterson is a woeful defender. No way we end with a clean sheet.

Patterson made one bad mistake, but feel free to go overboard

Not a bad first half....hell of a lot of positives. Brentford doing what they do best by being good at set pieces and breaking at pace. Yes we have shown vulnerability but shown composure. You look at us and the forward player is screaming at us. Forward player and we could have had a couple of more and last years defence we could be a couple down.
