...ridiculous, just ridiculous. The superior team lost, when that happens you really do have to ask why.

A substitution worked with DCL but I thought the Delph change as odd. Tactically, we should be able to see games out, that’s the responsibility of the manager and coaches. It was a dreadful VAR decision, but I won’t mind if alls7ch contact is given as a penalty.

Regardless, the best team lost and there has to be reasons for that. I think it’s a lack of tactics and organisation. I thought Sidebe played well but he was caught upfield for the winner. With minutes to go, the team should automatically fill in if a full back goes upfield. It’s basics.
Gomes did fill in for him I believe. Problem is Gomes is a shocking player defensively so Trossard went right past him.

You are right the better side lost. But I'm not sure it is 100% down to things we could have controlled.

The commentator had us home and hosed after the DCL goal. Deep down I feared the Brighton come back but thought we could see it home. It was being teed up as a game of firsts;

first come back in the league under silva
First manager to lose 3 games v Brighton
DCL scores in an Everton win.
Back to back wins

but no....

Instead it was a first VAR penalty and off course it went against us for not very much.

As soon as Trossard came on for them they were much better (what a player he is), we lost our shape and Siggy had went missing again. At one stage we actually might have won despite Gomes being out of sorts and Pickford acting the circus juggler.

There’s no doubt the VAR decision ripped the guts out of us and contributed to the loss from the jaws of victory.

Getting closer and closer to the end of the road me. Its not even an Everton thing anymore. I just hate football and everything it stands for in 2019. The game is so blatantly corrupt that its come to the point that its broken beyond repair. I just resent giving money to watch a sport that is so badly run and is openly hostile and disrespectful to the fans. I actually hate the game as things are, where it not for the memory of how much I used to love football I wouldn't give it a second of my time.

We're watching different games. He got a touch for the first goal. Didn't beat a single player after that. I want a lot more for the money we paid.
He set up a huge chance for Walcott that he missed, another semi decent chance that Walcott had blocked and he scored. I don't care who that gets given to he caused the goal. What did anyone else do? He was our best attacker.
