from my memory joey,he got a bit big for his boots, the club offered him an improved deal,he turned it down and was offski to villa, another boyhood blue who let us down, however Trevor Steven, what a player.
I saw HK come and talk a bit about it to a fan in the stands at Bruges pre season when he had just been transferred. Kendall said He had to let him go because he did not want to play for the club. Rumours about big headedness and/or needing to leave the city for a while also did the rounds at the time.

....I know you have already interviewed plenty but i think a generic question about who they rated as the best players in the squad during their time would be good.

Generically I'm sure one name would feature prominently eggs............terence darracott esquire!

by the way bally and I'm being serious now!have you interviewed terry?if not I'm certain he'd have a shedload of tales from his playing/coaching days mate.

I don't know if anyone can shed any light on this on here, but as a kid starting out watching the blues in the early seventies I remember TD having a few nicknames(the clean ones anyhow!)max wall, yeah understand, apricot, yeah get that, but Herbie?what was that all about?!!!
