Buzzing off them pics. Bryan is defo a cult hero for us.

Look at his eyes in both. Doped up to death on painkillers in the first one

The one in his kit is obviously from last night, so its great to see him in good spirits, considering.

Feel immensely sorry for the lad. Like others have said, waited all this time like a model professional and when he finally gets his chance he performs well but then gets this thrown at him.

Of all the people for this to happen to, why him? He's the last person to deserve it. Hope he has the fastest recovery possible and is back in the team by the end of the year.

Desperate bad luck for BO, especially after his recent impressive performances both for us and Costa Rica. Hope he makes it back in time for the World Cup, although I suspect he's going to miss out on that. Very sad.

Disagree Dave - at this level you have the mental strength to put such things out of your mind and carry on. It's similar to F1 drivers who after seeing someone crash and get injured - you don't see their lap times slow after a crash, why should it be any different for top class professional footballers.

If anything it will spur them on - "let's do it for Bryan" mentality.

Drivers are opponents in F1, but Oviedo was a teammate...

Nobody deserves it, but I would be lying if I said I am glad Barkley wasn't in this situation again because I think I would need some anti-depressants.

I loved Oviedo before this but now I adore him, and appreciate him a lot more, not just for the player but for the person.

I wouldn't be nearly as sad with the situation if I knew he'd be the exact same player when he comes back. Who knows what this will do to him. It'll be ~6 months out from the game. He might be too cautious in tackles. He might lose his drive to play. I dread to think that we won't see the real Oviedo again...

Tweeting pictures of himself smiling with the caption 'stay positive' 24-hours after it happened to him... Already showing he has mental strength.

do players often return from leg breaks still with the quality they had before? as you look at ramsey and barkley and they are both on top of their games right now so hopefully he returns well as he was easily baines long term replacement.

Sin Miedo - for Oviedo !! lots of thoughts for him from our Everton Family....

One positive for the lad is that he is going to be in demand from the TV companies over here this summer for the WC as a pundit for the England game. If he comes across on the screen as he does on the pitch he will prove a very popular choice.
Speedy recovery Bryan.

I know what you mean but a worse leg break to Ross hasn't impeded his career. Positive thoughts.
