Gone for Yerry Mina closely followed by Godfrey. These are 2 defenders that try to get in front of attackers and fight for the loose ball. Thought Yerry was great in the 2nd half. Godfrey had a no nonsense game challenging at all times rather than letting the player have time to collect a ball. James played well but with others off the boil especially Richie it was not going to happen for us.

Yeah we need another wide forward on the right with pace and a holding midfielder to play James at ten.

Burnley play football like a relegation team. Every man behind the ball and maybe 2 or 3 in attack on the break. Even still, there was still numerous opportunities but Everton somehow hit it into the stands or an opposition player.

I hope we're done with 5 at the back. It was good against Fulham, but Fulham are going to get relegated. We're strongest in the midfield so we should put more players there. When Gomes came on, we looked better, but still wasted everything. We should have had 2 in the first half.

The defensive issues in my opinion that have been hurting us this season are our defensive philosophy. They want to defend deep. But sometimes Allan is not there and Keane is too deep. Doucoure is rarely there, he's been out of position pretty much the entire season. We should be playing Holgate and Godfrey as CB and playing a high line. It's probably crazy and might leak more goals, but we'd keep the ball better. Defending deep has cost us a lot of goals.

Summary of much of the above comment is we are probably doomed and sack the manager. We are not very good for sure, but things are not as bad as some on here make out.

I dont get his thinking. Ok he wants to win but if you look at the whole game it was reckless to take of Doukoure AND Allan. He did really want to loose? If he did think Tosun and Sigurdsson would give him 3 points its time for him to retire and drink a lot of Chianti!

Yep 12th-15th for us. Nailed on for me. It’s Silva all over again this. One point from Southampton, Newcastle, Leeds and Burnley is shocking but that’s how we’ve been for seasons now. Nothing changes.

We'll finish 8th-12th, we'll have a run like around this time last year or the end of Silva's full season where we'll string a few wins together

Carlo just gets good players in and tells them to go out and do what they do, if that doesn't work he's clueless.. more if a scout than a manager

I think the difference is that most of the teams he's managed have had boss players to start with so he's only had to go in and tweak it, I think he's even mentioned that a lot of the subs benches he's had at his other teams the subs have been as good as the players starting the game. He's now inherited a poor squad of players so he's almost starting from scratch so is going to need time to sort it out, that's why it's daft some are calling for his head.

I'm not going to slag of Carlo he's won more than EFC but I think there's a chasm at the club from top down. I think Carlo has a bit of Koeman he's putting the players out to say 'look this is what i've got' and that means get players in in January. Can't understand why Gordon or Nkounkou aren't playing though. Everyone say "get in to them" 'cos they don't know the meaning or 'attack attack attack'

We always have a little purple patch. But maybe we had ours already. Peaked too early.

....watching for 90mins was all worthwhile for the pass from Rodriguez to Sigurdsson, it made me laugh and it made me shake my head in disbelief.

The problem with Doucoure & Allan is both do their best work without the ball, it’s why a player like Gomes is introduced. We have threat in the top third and vulnerable defensively, it really is up to Ancelotti to get the balance right.

Glad to see Godfrey getting praise but he has to play alongside Keane. Godfrey MoM.
