Fellaini and Osman in the middle would be my choice, a perfectly good, well balanced partnership and one Moyes has used before. Gibson won't be out forever, we've still got Master Pip and the likes of Junior and Barkley can push themselves into contention. It's disappointing but it's not the end of the world.

Fellaini will drop deeper in the exact same way that he has done so in our last two games.

And we will be poor whoever plays alongside Fellaini.

We use the squad mate as my post above, even Pienaar can come inside or Ossie with Felli as anchor, or play Nev or Heitinga beside Felli or go Heitinga, Neville as a sheild infront of the back four. That said im not convinced Gibbo is very badly injured. He may be touch and go for Newcastle but its not like hes gone for months.

I honestly can't understand how anyone on here can see how playing nev in centre mid is any way a positive thing, him and Osman together are the worst possible combination we could not hope for, completely ineffective

He played that one alongside Rodwell. That's not the same as playing it alongside Osman. I have no doubts at all of him as a part of a two man deep lying midfield just not as the sole deep lying midfielder.

we're playing osman alongside gibson which is a bit more attacking than the gibson/fellaini partnership we had at the end of last season. so felli sitting deep and breaking up play alongside osman, won't be too much of a difference.
