.....the rumour mill was full of West Ham gazumping us this morning so there is clearly something in this. West Ham is an attractive proposition, about to move into a new stadium, living in London, more likely to get a game and Cresswell at LB who they brought from the Championship who has done very well. You can't blame him for wanting so see what they say (and pay).

One report, however, did suggest Everton was his preferred option so we'll see.

We have actually had a bid accepted for Byram and lets be honest here..were looking like a very exciting club to play for these days.

The player himself came out and thanked us for our interest but living in London was the key to his decision.

I cant see anyone in their right mind choosing west ham over us, perhaps a foreign mercenary but not a 22 year old from leeds who can see a bunch of players of the same age in our first team.

Also, Baines,Jags,Stones,Barkley and perhaps Galloway will all be monitored for England and he will also have eyes on him as well...dont think West Ham have any internationals for England...

I think a few seasons of playing nice football in the top half is required before anyone takes them seriously. They're still seen as a YOYO club IMO.

If Jenkinson is going back to Arsenal at the end of the season I could see him choosing West Ham, purely because there'd be more chance of playing time.

Coleman isn't going to be dislodged any time soon.
