....the Hammers appear to be in a strong strategic position to make real progress in the next 5 years, I wouldn't underestimate what an attractive proposition they are.

Disagree mate, not unless they get bought out by some sheikh they aren't, right now the only way they are attracting decent level players is by VASTLY overpaying for them in salaries, from memory they are right at the max for what they can pay as well atm so need to ship mpeople out to create some room to sign others, Payet has been really good for 12-13 games for them fair enough, but to get him they had to pay him 120k+ per week for a player with a terrible injury record and who was hardly regarded as a amazing player.

Whilst it is true that players won't be looking at exactly how many trophies each club has won in its history to say that they won't look at the amount of years over the past 50 that west ham have spent in the lower divisions is wrong, they will do so, obviously if they get some mega rich owner then that could change = ala City, but as it stands right now they are not a particularly attractive proposition for a player to go really, never seen any club win trophies because it has a new stadium either, if anything a new stadium will be largely a negative to performances initially due to the lack of the old ground type atmospheres

I think we'll get him because he'll want to develop his game and he's an attacking full back. He knows he'll be allowed to play attacking football at Everton and playing for us will give him the best shot at getting in the England team in the short term.

people are flapping, but he's more northern then he is southern, we're a better proposition than any of the other clubs interested, he'd only have to look at the youth in our starting 11 to see that.

And all of the people who reported it first said EVERTON preferred choice, stop stressing out.

Karen may flash her knickers at him.

Not really bothered if we get him or not.
Even if he is seen as a full-back of the future, it's going to take him a year or two to master the position and be ready for consistent premier league starts.

Would anyone be that bothered if we don't sign him?

I cant see anyone in their right mind choosing west ham over us, perhaps a foreign mercenary but not a 22 year old from leeds who can see a bunch of players of the same age in our first team.

Also, Baines,Jags,Stones,Barkley and perhaps Galloway will all be monitored for England and he will also have eyes on him as well...dont think West Ham have any internationals for England...
I thought a 22 year old would be too old for you Zat?

If Jenkinson is going back to Arsenal at the end of the season I could see him choosing West Ham, purely because there'd be more chance of playing time.

Coleman isn't going to be dislodged any time soon.

cant see jenkinson ever getting a look in at arsenal so he'll probably want to stay at west ham

Wouldn't be gutted but it's a position we've needed to strengthen for a while now.

He's the best we could get in terms of a young up and coming full-back for a really good price, so would like this deal to go through.
