Well I don't think there's any sort of issue about who he signs. If Byram signs for West Ham it'll be because they guarantee him first team football every week, something we can't do since we have one of the best RBs in the league in his prime. If not, and it's not a certain yet anyway, then there's no problem to begin with.

Ok although tbf we could use a right back would be useful I think.

...1-3 he goes to the Hammers is a mighty indication he's not coming to us. Odds against is high risk if he is coming to Everton within an hour. Skybet clearly have a view that West Ham is a done deal and I am thinking that is the case.

No Prem teams were willing to give Leeds big money last season for him. People only taking a chance now because he is free in the summer. If he was the next big thing he would have been signed last season or before. Everton are taking a calculated risk. If he works out, great. If not, who cares.

Won't be upset if he doesn't come, won't care if he does.

Bigger areas need addressed and more proven players are out there to go after.
