:lol::lol:

I can't figure out if this is real or not. Neiler, please tell me this is true.

French and Irish fall out over ‘box’ incident Irish Soccer Insider

It's fake, there is no Department of Diplomatic affairs in Ireland... still funny though

I think we can do it over the 2 legs ... Italy couldn't beat us over the 2 legs during the group stage, and they are (arguably) better than France. It's just a pity it's not in Lansdowne Road ... even though the atmosphere will be great in croker tomorrow, I would imagine it would have been a hell of a lot better in lansdowne.

Also, we tend to do well against the better teams in big games like this ...

1949: TEAMS Rep of Ireland v France
Rep of Ireland: Given, O'Shea, St. Ledger, Dunne, Kilbane, Lawrence, Whelan, Andrews, Duff, Doyle, Keane.

France: Lloris, Sagna, Gallas, Abidal, Evra, Lassana Diarra, Alou Diarra, Gourcuff, Anelka, Gignac, Henry.

The words "gulf in class" hits me right between the eyes.

During this game 3 questions popped into my head.

1. Why is there an Ireland rugby team, but not an Ireland football team?
2. How on god's earth has such an average player like Kevin Kilbane achieved 100 caps for Ireland?
3. How the hell is Henry still allowed to play for France when he is about as useful as Leon Best?
