Very, very hazy today. Can’t even the fathom the scope of the wildfires—that’s a massive area.
Can feel the effects here in DC hundreds and hundreds of miles away
Strong smell of smoke as well

A close call mate, glad you're ok.I went to that Canadian National Vimy Memorial in France on a school trip in the 90's. Apparently it's classed as Canadian ground and the guide kept telling us we're officially in Canada. I'm very lucky not to be caught up in all of this to be honest with you.
For context .... as you're in the US and its probably different over there, the BBC app runs news articles daily. What you can always count on a daily basis, is there being at least one article where a minor gripe is being expressed by a woman demanding sympathy. The kind of gripe lots of people have every day and hardly newsworthy... but what's happened is that some lazy reporter has bumped into a moaning Minnie in a coffee shop and run with the story. It's hardly ever a man that gets in the news this way. I've no idea why and don't really care, it's just an observation, which you can't miss once you see it.

Decide to start it's own thread.
Hope all our Canadian toffees are safe!!
Been wondering if their color coding is effective. I would think a Code Purple would be less severe than a Code Red
Barely got away with all that fighting in the trenches that were there not long before. You've had some near misses.
