Baines was captain vs Arsenal a few seasons ago and he was completely different to how he normally is on the pitch. That was the game where Arteta had a go at Barkley and Baines ran over and got in Arteta's face.

Does he need to be captain to do that should be a given for any of our players on the pitch.

Coleman for me, he's a senior player now entering his prime. He'll be a different player now, or rather the Seamy of old, under Ron. He is certainly vocal and frequently out does the Sky commentators which is laudable. He is also a late starter in football who understands the fantastic life that he has and wouldn't be slow to give out rollickings when required.

I can't see it being taken from Jagielka, and it'd probably look like a 'public insult' to the lad which he doesn't deserve at all, although I do think there is probably a more suitable leader in the team - maybe make a better selection in the first place when it comes around next?

Jags is a nice guy and a decent player but he's never been a great captain. No room for sentiment pick the person best suited to the role. Based on what I've seen from him at Everton and in the Euros I'd go for Coleman.
