Subaru impreza. We decided to go from 2 cars (Subaru forester and Toyota corolla) to one. Wife liked the room of the forester, I like the size of the Corolla, so it was a good compromise.

Neither of us are car buffs, so a boring run of the mill car suits us just fine

New car? Japanese brand manufactured in Japan as I’m not fond of the hard shoulder.

Fun car? As loud and obnoxious as possible. I’ve had 3 American V8’s and loved them all due to their ineffable coolness.

I've got an opportunity to buy a 2015 Ford Mustang 2.3 at a very fair price which I think I'm going to take advantage of for a couple of years. I'm not really a car person, but always liked this type of American car. It is a US car, but with EU lights etc.

To add to this…. It’s the best small car I’ve driven for enjoyment, safety, stability and reliability….. I’ve had a punto, a fiesta tdci, a micra, and I’ve driven my daughters ds3…. I’d take the 500 over them all… oh, technically it’s the mrs car , I just paid for it

Anything but a SUV. There must be some design flaw with them that makes the driver lose all spatial awareness.

If I want plenty of boot room I'll buy a 15 year old Estate.

Me and Mrs J have a Lexus and a small BMW.

Until recently I was driving the Lexus ES 300 - a self charging hybrid.

Mrs J wanted the Lexus so I swopped her big 5 series tourer for a 2 series runabout which I drive.

It's fun , fast and pretty uncomfortable. Fortunately I only use it for short journeys. The Lexus is a far better car.

I have no idea and frankly don't care what , if anything, that says about us.

Had a few BMW's and while nice to drive and look at, the repair bills killed me. So I've gone completely japanese since, currently in a Mazda which I like. Missus is eyeing up a Renault though, which is giving me the yips. Left to my own I'd never buy another german, italian or french car.
