The odds of a good draw are quite low given how his round works, and assuming there aren't shocks tonight.

Haven’t we got a 20% greater chance of drawing a premier league side and obviously 100% greater chance of drawing a top 6 team ? It’s bizarre how they’ve just weighted a comp and it’s not even a thing .
Nobody but the scab 6 win trophies any more anyway so no idea why we have to give them extra super-dupa advantages.
Not saying it’s right, but the fault of the 6 seeded sides (Spurs being one of them) rests with UEFA.
This season they decided they wanted to showcase the different Euro comps, to do this they are starting the comps at different times.
The CL is starting the week commencing 16th Sept and the Europa the week commencing 23rd. The League cup 3rd round is the week commencing 23rd - meaning Spurs and United have to play their league cup game the week commencing the 16th - but we can’t play a CL club as they are playing in the CL that week.

They can play reserve teams or pull out , we’ve changed the set up of a competition and it’s integrity to yet again bend over got those at the top of the tree .
If UEFA tinker next year do we alter it again , maybe we should just all have playoffs to see what two goes through with them in the quarter finals .

They have big enough squads to compete fairly. Getting the bye is more than enough imo
Never ending funneling of advantage to more established clubs
The whole competition needs rethinking. We’ve got regionalised rounds early doors to cut down on traffic. The Euro qualifying sides don’t have to play the first KO round and now they get seeded for the first round they are in. The semis remain 2 legged.
It’s a mess. The best thing would be to make it so Euro qualifying sides don’t play in the league cup at all. This would then become a great chance of a trophy for the rest of the league and give the Euro sides more rest time which in turn gives them a greater chance in euro comps.
Spread the comp out a bit more so the final is in April and play the semis at Wembley in March - giving more fans a great day out.
Instead we have Man City winning 6 of the last 11, with Liverpool and United on 2 wins and Chelsea winning the other. It’s just boring
