I agree however there is definitely something in the links. Sky wouldn't announce a deal is done in principle.

Maybe the club are trying to manage expectations whilst negotiations are ongoing?

Makes sense in a way imagine the fume if it doesnt come off after Sky had told everyone it was all but done.
 
This has nothing to do with Everton, it is sky sports news bulling. Simply don't believe anything off Sky tv unless you see the player/ manager in the shirt.
Interestingly Everton also say no one has turned us down.

Or it could be Carlo’s agent has been running this to give him leverage with Arsenal.
