Apart from the obvious achievements can anyone tell me what he's like in playing style, man management, working with DoF and media
I have a mental block from his time at Chelsea and didnt pay attention

4-4-2
Loves all his players but ruthless enough to transfer list them if they don't play to his instructions.
Loves Marcel
Tells the media that Klopp is a right royal Wally.

Carlo Ancelotti has flown to London for talks with Everton over becoming the club's new manager.

The 60-year-old is now the leading candidate to replace the sacked Marco Silva and further discussions, after an initial meeting last week, with the club's board of directors will take place today.

Everton issued a statement last night to clarify that no formal contract offer had been made to Ancelotti or any of the "number" of candidates on their short-list.

But the former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss is firmly in the club's sights. And face-to-face talks with majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri and other Goodison power brokers are expected to happen today.

After being sacked by Napoli last week, Ancelotti was ready to wait until the summer for a new job. But he is interested by what Everton have had to say and is keen to learn more.

Ancelotti, the ECHO understands, is looking for clarity over the Blues' plans for the summer transfer window and will seek more information over Moshiri's project.
It has been suggested that Everton would present the three-time Champions League winning boss a three-and-a-half-year deal should talks progress to that stage and a formal offer is made.

Guardian are reporting it as a done deal subject to him agreeing an out with Napoli. I know from experience they don't go to press unless something is double sourced.

Unreal this, absolutely buzzing if we pull this off. Haven’t been this excited about a signing since we got Lukaku on a permanent deal. I (like most others on here) was fearful that we’d settle for someone like Moyes or Howe. Fantastic that we’re actually showing some intent to progress as a club. Now hopefully the results on the pitch can soon follow suit!

I dont get all the complaints about him being hands off. Ferguson was hands off, he let his first team coach carry out the training that he wanted them to work on. He's what, the most successful british manager ever? Managers have a coaching staff for that reason and if he has a team that he trusts to carry out the training required, then it leaves him with more time to study opponents, prepare for games etc.

mate, he beat Chelsea and then drew at Old Trafford, hardly the most successful of all time
:D

We aren't far off being a decent side so an overhaul isn't necessary. We have some very talented players who have shown with hard work we can get results. The players are young, we just need to make additions at Centre Back and up top.

I watched us compete well Away from home with a Leicester team that are second . The difference in that game was the managers .

As you say the squad certainly needs work but if we manage to secure this bloke we won’t be found wanting in the manager stakes.

What have the Romans ever done for us? We're about to find out!
Secret footage of EFC board meeting over last couple of days..........
