Carlo Ancelotti

He suggested he hadn’t heard anything but good about Ancelotti from his players but it’s common knowledge that the Bayern players weren’t happy with him.

That’s not being negative or trolling, it’s preventing the spreading of misinformation, whether positive or negative.
I'll admit I'm critical about our club. We are about to appoint one of the most successful managers in world football, you have already threw him under the bus god knows how many times. Next level negativity this.

That will be the thing to look forward to, whether he can convince top players to come here. There are only so many of these players to go around and City have most of them.
Players will come to play for him..He’s a world class manager, who won it all pretty much.. Everton will be a lot more attractive with CA in charge and if we land him(fingers crossed) players will be interested

Amazing how the only two responses to my post were you and @Keiran both slagging our players off.

Without aligning myself with his post, as I’ve not read it, I’m not slagging our players off - I just don’t think our squad is comparable with any he’s had to “rebuild” before. Even at PSG in his 1st season he had winners like Maxwell, Pastore, Matuidi, Menez, Alex and Gameiro in his side. We don’t have that sort of experience or quality throughout the squad now - which is so important.

To get that, he’ll have to buy lots of players, a pretty sizeable overhaul on the squad we have which will mean him staying at the club longer than the 2 years he’s stayed everywhere else.

My argument isn’t that it’s a bad appointment or that Ancelotti is a bad manager, far from it. I’m just refuting the allegation that to discuss many of the questions that this appointment raises, isn’t being negative or trolling.

It’s just BS I reckon mate but I’m afraid of the worst outcome nonetheless.

I can’t get the image of Moyes ugly mug out of my head. I can’t do another 11 years of him, it was dire then and it will be dire again.
One of the worst revisions of history I’ve ever read, that.

We were abysmal before Moyes, we became competitive when he arrived.

We finished 4th one season with a negative net spend ffs.

One massive positive is that Ancelotti's name will really carry weight with potential future signings. That was a supposed reason for going with Koeman but I think in reality although he was a great player he didn't have that great appeal as a manager (a la us missing out on Giroud..). With Ancelotti in if it's between us and other non-champs league clubs I could really see him giving us the edge to get players in

But mate you put a negative spin on literally EVERYTHING Everton related.

I honestly dont think ive ever read a post of yours which was positive or upbeat about us, the team that we're all supposed to support.

How?

Someone says there’s only positive things said about Ancelotti. I present an article which suggests there isn’t. That’s not throwing someone under the bus!

Ancelotti is an exciting appointment, one that is far more positive than it is negative, but to say it raises no questions is laughable. When news of this broke, the wider Football world (as well as most Evertonians) are looking at this appointment and going “What?!”

There are reasons for that and that’s what I’m addressing. It’s not an attack on Ancelotti who, as I’ve already said, is easily one of the best managers of all time. But this job is unprecedented for him - it doesn’t fit his profile or his experience.
