Also, people balking at the wages. If you want a top manager, you have to give him top money. Look at what Spurs just gave Jose.

I don't even think it's much (in football terms ofcourse) we quite happily spend millions on players and their wages who just turn up and move on in a few years without contributing much, but the manager is the most important signing a club can make and if the going rate for a winner is 9-11 million a year then it's worth it to the club long term than going through crap managers at 3-6 million plus compo
