Because the Chinese are nutters and believed the sales patter from his agent

Or maybe it's the fact he won the league 4 times in 8 years, and the only other times he had a full season he finished 2nd (3 times). Plus the fact that he does all that without spending money. He might not be Guardiola, but he is a very good manager.

Think he will go to Arsenal and the “we tried” narrative will be pushed out again. it would be great if it was serious interest and to have him here tho IMO.

Got nothing to do with anything the Esk says mate, common sense should suggest to everyone that whilst USM has provided some sponsorship etc to Everton through Moshiri being the M, if a multi-billionaire like Usmanov was in any way directly involved, he would not accept the level of ineptitude that the board have and continue to show in the way the club operates.

Ask yourself the question, would a multi-billionaire seriously consider David Moyes as the next manager or a Vitor Pereira whose cv is hardly any better than that of Marco Silva ?

Isn't that precisely what one is currently doing?

Winning the Greek and Chinese leagues hardly qualifies him for the PL. anyway, if you believe Sky, he ruled himself out of the running to join Everton.

Moshiri is also a multi billionaire

No point discussing him any further really. I just hated him when he was Porto manager as I follow Sporting and he was a proper windup merchant. However, if he was our windup merchant. I'd love him. The way he beat Jorge Jesus' Benefica in the last minute to sensationally clinch the title was something else too. The guy is an astute tactician. Lost sight of him after he left Portugal except for the headlines (inciting a riot, getting a prison sentence for said riot, going to China).

Anyway, back to matters at hand - anyone but Moyes

Not to the extent Usmanov is.
And he's already blown a significant amount of his fortune on sacking Martinez, employing and sacking Koeman, Walsh, Allardyce, Silva, all their respective back room staff and funding nutty transfer fees and wages on a whole host of poor players signings.

We suggesting that maybe a bit of novichock in his champagne is the way forward? I'm in full agreement.

Way harsh Bungle.

A simple nudge down the stairs would keep him away from the office until this whole thing blows over and be entirely non lethal.

Think of poor Jenny.
