According to the Red Echo Italian press believe he's verbally agreed to the Arsenal job.

Hope not but would be typically Everton the one time a world class manager is available one of the top 6 clubs are also in the market.

I would love it to happen but think Arsenal will do everything they can to land him- they have been too quiet on the managerial front for weeks which makes me think they haven't had a clue and have been waiting for an opportunity like this before jumping in with both feet.

Hopefully im wrong as I would love him here.

The worry is that Ancelotti's agent will just use us to flush out Arsenal's interest, if there is any.

I hope it doesn't drag on but Arsenal moreso than ourselves seem intent on taking their time.

If this has any legs, it will only be on the basis of us making a serious offer to him very swiftly and if that is put together properly, then he doesn't need a great deal of time to consider it. Any dithering on his part is just a clear indication that he is hoping for better.

I don't think its likely but appointing mid-season might for once bring an advantage if Ancelotti wants a quick return to management.

I agree with what your saying but I think he would be a coup for any team outside of the top 4
