I'm absolutely made up with him n still can't actually believe we have got him.
But
Deepdown I don't think he really wants to be here.
Hopefully just the pessimist inside me as nothing good ever happens to us!

Actually, it is quite the opposite. If you read his book 'Quiet Leadership', Everton is the type of job he has been craving since his Milan days. Carlo prefers a long term role with a family club that is ambitious. He thought he had that when he joined PSG back in 2011 but their board quickly became assholes with success.

It is no surprise to me now that Carlo took the Everton job. Carlo and Eveton are a brilliant fit. Sit back and enjoy it.

Couple of observations so far.
I think its agreed that his much changed team on Saturday was not the strongest he could have fielded. The match against a close rival was a need for three points and we did just that. The reason for the changes were to enable a strong line up against City. Our previous manager would have lumped all in against Newcastle and left us tired for City.
This guy had the confidence to pick a side capable of actually winning a game, a massively important one, and now be in a position to give it a good go against the Mancs. I'm mightily impressed.
Still on topic, I'm sensing a change in attitude towards us. No smarmy, snide giggles at little Everton spunking money on a has been coach. Since being back Carlo has been the polar opposite of clown Mourinho and the media is sitting up now and maybe seeing a future for us.

Everton with their plans and backing are a ripe club for advancement. perhaps for him it is a long tenure and then retirement. With these stadium plans and the location it will be something for others to look up to.

Love how he can change the tactics not just to suit the opponent, but during the match to suit the direction in which the game is going!

The man can read a game like a pro! For too long we've been stuck with tactically inept coaches, who are too stubborn to change their methods, and are willing to take us down to prove they're right!

Carlo is a breath of fresh air!

Edit: And by change the tactics, I mean changing the formation, subs, etc based on an astute reading of the game... Not a Marco Silva cluster f...: bringing on 6 attackers on the 65th minute and hoping for the best kind of scenario and then getting bummed on the counter attack!

Ancelotti had Paul Clement as his assistant manager in Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Bayern München. He was sacked from Swansea in 2017 and is another example of assistant managers who failed to be a no 1. Do you think Ferguson will be a success if he take over after Ancelotti in a four year's time?

Do you think Arteta will be a success at Arsenal?
