I'd even say Silva was more stubborn than Martinez in terms of system. Even down to the starting 11,you kinda knew who he was gona pick.

if we could predict the plan, every other manager could. We basically have no idea what Carlo is going to do and we think about nothing else. The opposition have no chance.

A man with all that winning experience is going to inspire our players and get what's in them out of them. It's important also that he's an adaptable manager in terms of how he approaches each game, and that he can change the shape of the team in-game.
If he stays here for a few years and is backed with money I cant see the downside.

I think this what made us so easy to play against under Silva. He was so rigid in his system 4-2-3-1. Wasn’t flexible enough to change it or didn’t have the know how to. As a result lesser teams knew exactly how we were going to play and set up accordingly.

You only have to look at the polls for the next manager. None of us in our wildest dreams thought we could recruite someone of Ancelotti’s stature. Funnily enough I’ve got spurs and united mates from uni days and I advocated Ancelotti for them, when they were moaning about Ole and Potch. They can’t believe we’ve recruited him either.

Another thing about Carlo...he's not scared of the media, sails through press conferences oozing class, knowledge and experience, and simply laughs or smiles knowingly at some of the silly leading questions. Now, we just need to get the rest of 'Everton' up to his level.....
Just watched the presser. The press treat him respectfully and are a little timid around him it seems. Long may it continue and all so different. Feels like a fresh start for a change
