He can’t be asking the likes of Mina and Holgate to play out from the back, especially with midfielders who hide.
Lump it forward and play off the scraps. We aren’t good enough to play football with this current crop.
Frustrating thing was that they did the same against City so you have thought they would have been more direct at times to get us up the pitch

Play to the strengths of the team and negate the strengths of the other. Nothing more to it than that.

We played a 3-4-3 to try and cover the lack of quality in our midfield but it simply didn’t work, he put Delph on as at City he use to getting the ball in tight positions and holding the ball and I think we went 4-4-2 but by then it was to late, the team gave up.
Richarlison needs a rest, DCL back to doing nothing and Sigi and Snides should of been swapped with traffic cones, might of at least tackled them then

lol lol lol lol traffic cones

I think it could be the 1st time in his career he has resigned....give him a year and he'll probably realise we are a hopeless case ....grim

I doubt even Ancelotti would make some of that lot care. Even if they did I don't think they're capable of a big reaction. Beat Brighton, lose to a Moyes inspired West Ham. I predict that will be the way it goes.
Correct. And besides, Ancelotti is not a hair dryer type of manager.

To get his message across he;ll just replace them with players with better technique and better character.

3/4 windows the job will be complete.

Yesterday brought to the forefront the ominous thoughts that Carlo's reign could be a short lived nightmare.

Squad needs a massive overhaul for any short term success but even then it’s not guaranteed and simply doesn’t happen.

The best we can hope for is we are able to bring in a couple of new faces in January which force the half arsers and the anonymous like Keane, Sigurdsson, Delph and Schneiderlin right below the pecking order.

I agree his hands are literally tied at the moment though so he is forced to play or at least have the same personnel in his match day squad.

The board need to support him in this transfer window.

Getting at least one of Schneiderlin / Sigurdsson out of the team permanently would be a good start.

As much as we would all like a bigger cull, it can't happen in the short-term.

I do think though it would send a clear message if either one of those, and I would choose Schneiderlin, never played for the club again after yesterday.

We are at the stage now where individual players have to be selected and binned off at the first opportunity, on grounds that they offer nothing.

One by one, however long it takes, these players have had too much indulgence.
