I'm absolutely disgusted if this story is true. Players questioning a manager who is arguably the best any of them have ever played under. Might want to listen what the three time ucl winner has to say about your shortcomings.

They’ve floated by for years conning poor managers. Some of them were too weak to do anything, the ones who didn’t rate them were told to use them regardless by Moshiri. Ancelotti is the first manager who has the clout to actually get rid of them and they will get him for it. Tick tock Morgan and Gylfi.

Tactics were wrong 100% but also not responsible for not even getting the basics right. You can not understand a game plan but still pass/control/shoot properly at the same time. They've got upwards of 10 years prem experience some of them and yet showed they couldn't think for themselves enough to beat a youth team

And without trying to have a go at Ancelotti (who I absolutely don't blame just to be clear) this is where the players may have had a point. If what they were saying is 'what am i supposed to do when the midfield is playing like that' then that's fair. Everybody blamed Schneiderlin and Sigurdsson on here, it would be a bit weird if we said the players couldn't do the same.

As discussed it's a combination of factors.

But having the 2 players who are supposed to pivot your team playing it constantly back to the defense (one of whom is a young lad getting booed every time he gets the ball) against a team hunting in packs to win the ball back high up the field is rather inviting pressure on yourselves.

Then making zero attempt to win it back in the middle of the park when they have it.

Now I can't believe Ancelotti is completely oblivious to how Liverpool play. So it's either a plan that didn't work, a plan that was badly executed or a combination of the two. But I can't see what he would hope to achieve by giving the above instruction.

Mate, if an entire team is playing badly then their is a reason. In any business, if your team under performs there is only one person to blame. Some players may not be up to i (schneids or keane) but they are all pro footballers and mostly internationals, they have the ability but it is going wrong somewhere for all of them at the same time.......

They been like this for 2 years not 2 weeks
