Well yeah, if your players are down on confidence and scared to make mistakes I'm not sure what good putting them under pressure at home does.

They're clearly just not a very resilient bunch and lack anyone who can take charge on the field. Our record when going behind testifies to that.
Yeh, and the managers should have recognised that long ago rather than plod along like a rudderless ship. Gomes is a big loss imo, he at least gets the game by the scruff.

Problem with this though is that they are arguing and blaming the tactics when they couldn't be arsed putting any effort in on the pitch. If they genuinely believe they played with everything they had and to the best of their abilities and then fought back against the criticism because of it then they should never play for this club again because not one of them looked arsed on Sunday.
I don't really go in for the effort thing. Nobody's ever seen Sigurdsson legging it round the pitch flying into tackles, so why he would have started on Sunday I have no idea. I would imagine the players feel they put in as much effort as can be reasonably expected. Whether it's true I can't tell you, obviously, but I think fans tend to want to see players coming off like Terry Butcher in a game like that, and realistically it's not going to happen.

Articles like this will tend to be quite sensationalist in their nature. Were the players blaming the tactics as in saying 'you are rubbish, you don't know what you're doing' or were they saying 'yes i did keep keep playing aimless balls up the pitch, but it's because you wanted Pickford to keep rolling the ball to me when I was under pressure and I'm not good enough to do anything else with it'? There's a big difference between the two. I wasn't there, but my guess would be that it was much more the second option than the first, and that that type of thing happens every week.

I just want to watch them suffer at this point to be honest. Hope they get absolute shreds torn off them on Saturday.

If you have a situation like Schneiderlin the other year where he was booed onto the pitch, then suddenly getting standing ovations a week later for doing nothing because everyone felt sorry for him, you end up with said player remaining at the club for another two years. That's the last thing we need.

Embarrassing. I hope RAWK see this, they will have a field day.

This is part of the reson Delph was brought in. Although I'm not sure of the value of telling everybody they're something that rhymes with clucking pit or calling Mason Holgate a p**** in the middle of a game.

They can't win in this type of situation though can they? It's the same every time, whatever happens will be spun into a negative by fans who just don't like them. People spend months calling them spineless and pussycats and whatever, and then when it's reported that they've shown a bit of passion and argued because they were hurting, they get called out for having the gall to do it.

Tom Davies wasn't hurting enough and should never play for us again because he drank a cup of tea two days after the game, and anyone who was hurting enough to kick off in the changing rooms straight after the game should never play for us again either because it proves their attitude is dire. There's evidently some perfect level of hurt that they should all have reached and acted accordingly, hopefully they bear that in mind for future.

Nothing to do with arguing. You can ne hurt and upset but proper footballers accept responsibility.

It's the refusal to admit they played poorly and blame the new manager. Its delusional and disgraceful.

The only ppl to blame are Gilfi and Morgan and there stats prove it, they did nothing in the game, didn’t show for the ball and constantly passed backwards. You can plan for weeks and months but when your midfield goes missing, there not a lot u can do

Mate, if an entire team is playing badly then their is a reason. In any business, if your team under performs there is only one person to blame. Some players may not be up to i (schneids or keane) but they are all pro footballers and mostly internationals, they have the ability but it is going wrong somewhere for all of them at the same time.......

But that's you putting your own interpretation on it, it doesn't say they refused to admit they played poorly anywhere.
