2019/20 Carlo Ancelotti

It’s fine to question the tactics though which they did

Yes it is, but to not do the basics of playing football is not something the manager can be blamed for. They are paid a kings ransom, are international footballers and got schooled by a team of young lads who shown more passion, drive and commitment.

Their professional pride should be enough to carry them through that, but they weren’t arsed.

No manager in England will tell his players to boot the ball aimlessly upfield, though. Pickford tried it a few times, and the strikers were nowhere to be seen. I agree it may have been better for us, but without a midfield to win second balls or basically do anything, no tactic was going to work.
Did you not watch the previous derby where the best manager in the world put 5 past us doing exactly that??

We have a massively weakened MF so we play the whole game trying to use them, genius.

Anyone still backing these players over Ancelotti is badly deluded and needs to catch themselves on.

Yeah but these players have had great careers, what had Carlo ever achieved?

Carlo has won trophies, sure, but has he ever done it with a team of awful, uninterested, overpaid players?

And so it begins.

Another target in the sights of the Everton player and coaching staff anarcho-syndicalist committee.

Let's face it, most of the 'senior pros' know they are toast.

Get this festering scum out and allow one of the greatest managers of modern times to do his thing.

For the record I'm happy to admit being wrong about the attitude of certain players and you being right after this

But I would add that when you mention the coaching staff, you tend to refer to Ferguson, who is the one who has actually instigated the questioning of effort that I think both you and I want to see. A small point, but an important one; it's not the coaching staff, it's the players!

I get this. But can’t see how it’s useful. Get behind the manager and the team on Saturday, we need the points, and trust the manager to get shut of the ones we all know aren’t up to scratch.
It needs to be underlined that the players and not the manager is the problem...THEY are the problem, and they cant pin it on another manager like the snides ALWAYS try and do.

Yes, hats off to him on this one at least.

What will help them perform to a standard? We’re past the point of no return. These wasters are completely finished. Time to humiliate them before they’re sent packing.

Not after the 3 points then? Reckon we'll get a whole new squad by the end of January? All just champing at the bit to come and play at Goodison Park where your own supporters boo you?

They don't just boot it upfield though - they know what they're doing and are able to play in many ways. Look how often Arnold whips the ball in from 10 yards outside the area. That's not the result of punting the ball upfield. When they do go 'long' they do so because they have the technical ability to drop it over the defenders and for their strikers to run on to, as we saw perfectly with the Origi goal.

Mate, they went long at every opputunity and bypassed our MF, we should have done similar given as we are depleted and they had a kids defence.
