Myers releasing a fence sitting statement that absolutely no one asked for I see.
He's gone all round the houses there defending and then conceding stuff that it basically cancelled out the message.

I think it was: "let the club air its dirty laundry in-house as per and hope for a Messiah to emerge".

It's like he got worried half way through that the opinion was of his and not that of Sky Sports.

I couldn't really follow him tbh.

There's no excuses can be made for the players and I'm afraid I disagree that they all care. A significant number of them have proved by their actions that they dont care anywhere near enough.

Yea, no way do they all care all the time. They look like they care when they are winning but that's easy to do.

Anyone else worry that he might just realise what a horror show he's joined and walk away?
I was thinking the same thing....he’s a successful and intelligent manager and I suspect that the club would have agreed to whatever he asked for in order to bring him on board. If I was him, I would have included a get out clause so as to be able to walk away before my hard earned reputation was destroyed.
I hope I’m wrong of course.

Ancelotti is being let down at the moment by a few players who can’t be arsed.
Siggy and Schneiderlin to name 2.
At this level you need 11 committed players or you’re doomed.
Im sure he’s wise enough and experienced enough to see it.

We’d be back to Kenwright. His mates. Sigurdsson and Schneiderlin. And relegation.
You can almost see it happening...Bill spends a couple of decades milking the club whilst making sure he and his buddies don’t have to actually put their money into the club. Then finds a rich buyer and sells the shares. Stays on as chairman and oversees a complete collapse of the club. Moshiri decides that he’s had enough and wants to get out and cut his losses. Bill snaps up Moshiri’s shares at a knockdown price and regains control and ownership whilst making a killing. We stay at a crumbling Goodison for another hundred years but Bill sells us a few more “Goodison Granites” to strengthen the old place!
Could only happen to us....

He's being the owners' front man, as usual.

"Let's not embarrass the owners, just pull together and be stoical and maybe somewhere a leader takes us forward."

I think the reverse is needed: get it into the open and let's have this matter of player power out, once an for all.
