Silva was so bad.

did absolutely nothing to deserve the job in the first place.

personality of a wet piece of cardboard.

his teams reflected his personality, weak and gutless.

we got lucky with Carlo. Extremely lucky.

Never saw silva crack a smile. Ancelotti looks a right misery but once he starts talking he usualy drops in a bit of humour. Obviously i dont know how silva was around training. But he came over in interviews like month old milk.

On the basis we beat Palace, a victory at Arsenal would be significant not just in its own right, but it would cement and extend our lead over them, a club that has outperformed us for a generation.

Overall its two sides having a very average season, and especially poor for Arsenal, but it would be good for us on several levels.

Its still a big ask, but we have to lose the mindset that its beyond us, and hopefully lessons learned also from the trips to the pit and the Etihad.

If our sense of adventure keeps improving at the current rate under Ancelotti, I think we'll spank Arsenal everywhere.

Here's hoping

This says all that needs to be said. The Premier League table since Carlo has been in charge of us and this is before he has even started rebuilding the squad he inherited.

The man is basically a god amongst Managers and is the Manager of Everton. How effing boss is that. ;)

The man is receiving nowhere enough credit for the job his done since he arrived. Press swooning over Arteta impact which consists of 1 PL win so far yet everyone saying they’ve improved, us on the other hand aren’t mentioned. The Liverpool defeat has overshadowed the work he has done and that’s a shame. Although if I’m honest I prefer the press leaving ya alone, leaves us to hopefully slip in under radar and get European football . It’s there for the taking imo. The man is a footballing god in my eyes

Yeah I keep reading that the press is swooning over Arteta, im really not seeing that.

TAKING THE MIK Arteta’s appalling win ratio at Arsenal WORSE than Ljungberg and Emery and Spaniard has second-worst record since WWI

Every report I’ve read prior to those you’ve shown me have been positive towards him. I’ve a few arsenal fans as mates and they’re saying how brilliant he is . I can’t see ut

Firstly we have to dispatch Palace but then we are. Going to have to pick up (imo) a couple of wins from Arsenal away, Chelsea away and the rs at home. We are in decent form now but we are going to need to continue that from here on in.

Do that and I think we'll have a Sniff of a chance of Europa League which would be unreal when you think of where we were early December.

Edit : sorry @Wat Tyler didn't mean to tag you in mate.

Can we please stop with the 'if we can beat this team and that team' mantra.
We just need to look at the next game, and that is Palace.
How many times just this season have we gone into games saying 'a win can get us into so and so position' and then miraculously underperforming

Tim Sherwood (yes i know, its Tim Sherwood) was on BT Sport this week saying Ancelotti has had an average start and not really done much!
Leicester have had runs of form this season similar to our last 10 games and been labelled the 2nd coming (obviously they have put together these runs more consistently and the league proves that)
But yeah, it would be nice to continue this under the radar stuff for a little longer
