The man is receiving nowhere enough credit for the job his done since he arrived. Press swooning over Arteta impact which consists of 1 PL win so far yet everyone saying they’ve improved, us on the other hand aren’t mentioned. The Liverpool defeat has overshadowed the work he has done and that’s a shame. Although if I’m honest I prefer the press leaving ya alone, leaves us to hopefully slip in under radar and get European football . It’s there for the taking imo. The man is a footballing god in my eyes
Arsenal have being effing terrible in the two games ive watched palace away and burnley away lethagic slow and given the talent they have on paper uncceptable they have a huge job ahead

Yeah I keep reading that the press is swooning over Arteta, im really not seeing that.

TAKING THE MIK Arteta’s appalling win ratio at Arsenal WORSE than Ljungberg and Emery and Spaniard has second-worst record since WWI

Arsenal has an attacking force of Aubameyang, Lacazette and Pepe which cost nearly £190m combined and as a team have scored only 1 more goal than us. They have huge problems getting a tune out of their players and are now in a mess like we've been in where they have a squad of players bought by several different managers. I don't imagine their problems are going to be fixed quickly, or if Arteta will be capable of fixing them, which is good news for us.

Yeah I saw a few people on twitter say the same thing about "Why is Arteta getting praised and Carlo not", I havent seen much praise for Arteta myself.

And why would anybody praise Carlo, him winning isnt even news, its what he do.

Can we please stop with the 'if we can beat this team and that team' mantra.
We just need to look at the next game, and that is Palace.
How many times just this season have we gone into games saying 'a win can get us into so and so position' and then miraculously underperforming

I'm sure Ancelotti will have that approach and rightly so.

On the other hand, there is nothing wrong with us as mere supporters daring to look forward a game in advance. A little anticipation does no harm given the scraps we feed off.

I agree.

Sheffield utd we absolutely bossed, had we scored early then we could have ran riot as they had to open up against us. But they had the crap corner goal and then caught us late as we pilled forward. I'd reckon with Ancelotti power we would have had them.

He seems to be able to squeeze a little bit extra out of the players, throwing up the kind of 'lucky general' results that always elude less inspiring managers (Silva, Moyes, etc.).

I really do hope that he's given some quality to work with in the summer.

Thing is mate , other then the front 2 I wouldn’t take anyone from there squad. I think they’re massively over rated

Since Silva left. I can’t believe just how poor of a manager that bloke was/is.
Can I please just add to this.

The media: Arteta has done SO well (very little change in results), Arsenal look SO much better, he’s getting a huge reaction (still tool downing bottlers) out of his players.

Meanwhile Don Carlo has worked in the shadows like the footballing mafioso he absolutely is.

We need a manager that can come from behind, win away and rotate squad members while still getting results. He has proven that he can do all 3 so far, so that is a huge positive sign for next year. Since Europe is still very possible at this stage, we need a manager that understands how to manage rotations and keep the players fresh.

Football evolution. Happens every 5 years. Slow possession build up is nullify and replace by high tempo pressing counter. You see loads of possession minded manager like pelligrini, Emery, Silva, Martinez getting sack because they are too stubborn and refuse to alter this approach. Arteta will be next if he persist with this mindset. massive bullet swerve.

Firstly we have to dispatch Palace but then we are. Going to have to pick up (imo) a couple of wins from Arsenal away, Chelsea away and the rs at home. We are in decent form now but we are going to need to continue that from here on in.

Do that and I think we'll have a Sniff of a chance of Europa League which would be unreal when you think of where we were early December.

Edit : sorry @Wat Tyler didn't mean to tag you in mate.

You should tag the forum in when you write beautiful prose like this (applauds)

Nah am with you mate, we really need to get a win at one of these traditional top sides own grounds. And we desperately need to do the RS

A lot of it is probably them actually believing him when he tells them what to do.

I dont know why anyone gets upset about anything said in the media.

You see all the journos fawn over UK managers/players, especially if they give them interviews. Any charity work/mental health stuff
they lap it all up. 95% of them are also into the Pep style of football that can only really be used at clubs like City/Real/Barca.

Mourinho has been slaughtered by journos the few last weeks. 'Gone', Stale, `Finished'. Its pathetic garbage. The guys CV like Ancelloti and Rafael
is outstanding. If they all had City's squad they would play in almost the same manner.

They have all lapped up Arteta/Lampard/Ole despite not a single crumb of evidence that any of them will become anything like a top class manager.

I hope Arteta does and maybe one day comes here but I have strong doubts simply based on his first interviews.

Stuff like `We will play one way'. `We will always try to pass and play better than the opposition' is stuff of fantasy. It suggests he can simply replicate the city way with players nowhere near that calibre. Just nonsense.
