He has proven in the past and should prove in the future in Catterick/Kendall class as a manager for this club. But, so far his tactics have looked pretty hit and miss/random as you would expect,
We have deffo been on the lucky side of expected goals!
He was very poor v lpool in the cup and the Newcastle subs gave away 2 points. Also, how was Walcot still on the pitch against Watford when he got the winner. But non of that really matters in the long run.
He has already managed to improve league results just by being HIM!
Hopefully his decision making will gradually improve as his knowledge of the club/team goes forward.
I had my suspicionsRevisionist history there ... came in no time utilised coleman and sidibe on the right flank as an interchangeable 442 3232 got results against burnley and newcastle away whom at that point had only lost once or twice in the league at home. Admittedly poor couple of results with man city away to be expected and moreso the absolute bottle job from the players. Recognised that teams where sussing the right hand side switched to an impetus on the left with bernard against brighton scoreline should of been alot more than 1-0. Same system against westham went for the throat with all subs used by the 70th min. Battered Newcastle with the best footy I've seen this year only a freak result saw it 2-2. admittedly got lucky against watford but still managed to see the game outwith a switch to Keane and Mina.
This is whilst presumably both our first choice CM out injured in Gomes and Ghambin. Dealing with injuries to Iwobi, Bernard, Sigz richarlison and no right hand midfielder. The man has preformed miracles I've seen more tactical impetus in the last month than I've ever seen before in an everton side. Back this man and hes going to the top. And maybe your red tinted glasses might see the proper tidings.
Can anyone hear a mask slippingOhhh, And if you batter teams for 90 minutes don’t send 2 late subs on who can’t keep the call.
I thought the exact same thingOh god he's gone and done it now lol
He said in his book he does get angry, but it'll only last a couple of minutes. Usually a couple of minutes ranting in Italian, throw something. Then he'll have a tab and deal with it like a grown up.
