a CL winning manager is no guarantee of success, it is all about the fit. don't shoot the messenger, but ancelotti is proving to be the same old same old. i desperately want him to succeed, like we all do, but this club needs a complete reboot. i honestly can't see him sticking around for the long-term.

What should he have achieved by now?

Sacking managers is like dislocating your shoulder, the more you do it the easier it gets. Then your arm falls off.
We need stability and a manager who can stick around for 3years at least and it may as well be this guy.

BUT I WANT IT NOW

I want it now too.

But we are like a primary school kid trying to compete for the top grades at A level. Unrealistic expectations given the ability at our disposal.

It could all improve pretty quickly. I'm not gonna rule anything out. But we've been ran appallingly for about 5 seasons now so the chances of everything falling into place quickly are pretty low.

we literally can’t attract better. The list of names possibly better than him can be counted on one hand and all of them are out of our reach. This manager is not the problem. A world class team needs to be world class in the board room, have a world class manager, with world class players. We finally have one of three correct and some people are questioning the one good decision Everton has made in ages. We need to give this manager world class players and finally sort ourselves out off the pitch as well.

a climb up the table, some nice football. anything but what we're seeing now.
I'm sure he would have , if he had a midfield . With the injuries there and Delph obviously not fancying playing a game or two I think he has done a decent job masking our problems .
Our forwards are scrapping to get the ball themselves while our playmaker wants the ball as far away as possible from him .
It's not been pretty but really he's done a decent job .

I never said he's a guarantee of success. I don't think any manager in the world is guaranteed to get it right here.

But if one of the best and most decorated managers of the 21st century can't improve us then we need to look at much deeper issues than managers.

We've gone through a lot of managers recently so I dunno why we'd want another one so soon. I don't want one for another 5 or 6 years minimum if possible.

Absolutely correct. Has a team ever been successful with as many managers in such a short space of time as we've had?
