Are the RS top of the league? Met up with an old Kopite mate of mine at lunch and all he spoke about was Ancelotti and us.
- He’s only come for the money
- He won’t be there in 2 years
- How are you affording the stadium
- You won’t fill it
- Usmanov can’t influence you cos of FFP
I responded by saying why don’t you talk about your own team. :D
In all seriousness Ancelotti’s appointment and the planning permission submitted this weekhas got them rattled.
They are all obsessed with us for some strange reason.all of my kopite mates all the same ancelotti here for the money and the stadium will never be built lol Considering they are champions of Europe and top of the league they are still very obsessed with what Everton are doing

Well if major teams are after him come the summer then I’d like to hope it’s because he’s done an amazing job here. If the board back him and we make real progress then why would he leave? I can maybe see it if a Real or Bayern came back in but I’m not sure he’s going to be what they are looking for.
Will cost any team 40 mil to get him.
wasthinking maybe Chelsea might be after him soon

I think Carlo will get an extra few percent out of the team as a whole with his team set-up and tactics; squeeze a couple of percent from the younger players who are already working hard and playing well (Richie/DCL/Holgate/Davies), get a few percent more from the established players (Sidibe/Coleman/Digne/Bernard) and surprise everyone by turning one lump of coal into a diamond (maybe Siggi or Sneids). Put it all together and he'll turn us into a decent team challenging at the top of the table. Forza Carlo

Sky quoting Carlo tonight that 'he will not be asking the hierarchy at Everton for a striker in this window because the strikers we have are very good'. Sounds like he thinks he'll get a goalscoring tune out of DCL and he's persisting with Richarlison in a two. OK by me. Discuss?

We just need to create more. Sure a better finisher would have scored a few of the chances at Burnley but as a team we have enough, in my opinion, to keep things tight and score enough to win. Carlo probably appreciates what everyone knows: January is not a great window to shop in for value and options.

DCL has been good all season imo, just his finishing let's him down at times but hes certainly improved over the last 4 weeks and has confidence again. We know Richy can play as striker no problem, Kean is a big bag of potential, hasnt got off to the greatest of starts but Carlo clearly rates him. Tosun is a no mark and waste of space, hasnt done anything of note since being at Everton. If Ancelloti thinks we have enough up front then thats enough for me, he absolutely knows his beans. We have bigger issues at center mid and center back, an injury to mina or holgate and we are back with Keane at the back. Gbamin and gomes still a way off, delph injury prone. Guess it depends what players are available in the window though.

Whatever Carlo thinks we need is fine by me. Wouldn't even try and pretend to know better than someone who has as much experience and winning mentality as he has. If anyone can improve DCL's goal scoring ability it is him.

I think he is being quite coy about the January window though and probably will make a couple of signings. He knows how to play the game.

We've had injuries mate, there's no doubt about that, but for me those players have been pretty poor even when in a fully fit squad. Digne and Richarlison absolutely will stick around but i'd wager Gomes, Bernard, Sidibe, Mina and Iwobi won't be in Ancelotti's first choice team and he'll move them all on as soon as he's able to. Gbamin is a bit of an unknown so could go either way and Kean, who knows. He's been pretty poor thus far, but under Papa Carlo, he might just find a system that suits him. Time will tell.
I think Sidibe and Mina are doing well and Bernard in the last game against Burnely showed some skill a tricky passing we haven't seen for a quite time in Everton. And please no need of this hob-a-nob "Papa C", let's stick to a capo :).
If he makes us all happy on January Fifth from then on I will refer to him only as Don Carlo. If by some miracle in this transition period he brings us FA cup (can we dream a little bit?) he'll become Il Padrino to the rest of my life.

I had idealistic dreams about giving Duncan Ferguson a try to the rest of the season because he has a passion for the club and all that. Also, I was afraid about Ancelotti's intents and commitment but after watching this piece Baz talking with John Blaine I became more positive and certainly after a win against Burnley.

There was a really funny moment though in the video (20th minute) when Baine counting all the advantages of situation on his fingers ("very very good manager by track record", "very, very good director football by track record", "owners prepare to invest by track record" and then Baine rhetorically asking:
What could possibly go wrong?" Baz gave quite expressive look on his face (sorry couldn't post a screenshot in a propper quality)
