I heard of this 'clause'. The fact is, there isn't a scrap of evidence to back it up. It was just rumour and people putting two and two together and coming up with five.

He was contracted to us for 3 more years. He was crucial for our team. Brands sold him at a knockdown price to one of the richest clubs on the planet.

Ergo: Brands started the ball rolling on this nightmare season.

He signs injured players. Did it the first summer he was here, did it this summer. Is it any wonder we end up with crocks when that's his M.O.? FFS, he even signed Iwobi withoiut a medical, just taking the player's word for it that he was fit...he was (and remains) a waddling mess.

It wasn’t a clause: it was an assurance (a gentleman‘s agreement) so to say. For that, I’m certain, but take as you will.
 
Risky selection but that is why we have the squad we invested heavily in.

If it goes wrong people will already be pointing fingers. Hopefully the incoming players put a real shift in.

As usual , you didn't answer my point about predicting what was to happen to Gomes and Gbamin mate.
Have you any evidence to back up your point about signing Iwobi without a medical ?

Don't usually waste my time replying to you but what you post above is possibly the most ridiculous thing you've ever posted, if you think a PL club would spend millions on a player without giving him a medical that is just plain daft, all theses player are insured and I'm positive that no insurance company would insure a player if he was signed without a medical.
