Yeah it's that part I don't get. Was he just trying to be smart because of Iwobi's comments on Instagram or something?

On form, Iwobi should not have played. It's either Sigurdsson, or switch system and accommodate players most likely to get a result.

Iwobi is not and never has been a player most likely to get you a result - with his recent form and stupid comments he shouldn't have been near the teamsheet, and that performance proved it.

I'm all for Carlo playing him there, having enough...and selling him next season. Whatever it takes.

Become abundantly clear that they need us fans to give them the kick up the arse playing at Goodison.

Manager and players both abysmal this season at home.
The fans don't need to be there to kick them up the ass, they these players should be breaking there hearts and bones for the club.

The hyenas will be out now name calling all those who disapprove the garbage brand of football.

As for the argument regarding squad. How much turnaround are people realistically expecting? The fact is more than 60% of the first 11 will be the same.

The truth is in the PL unless you're Man City with 2 top class backups for each world class player, you will be without your best team for atleast 50% of the season. And the approach of winning ugly will catch up with you if you persist with pragmatism.

As soon as teams found out out one dimensional approach of attack through floating James after 4 games, the signs were there.

True but I'd say we aren't even half way through a rebuild our midfield lacks guile without James. And pace and ball carrying ability without Doucoure in central areas and the wings. If we finish seventh this season we have hit our target not saying I'm happy just we probably need to see its going to take time to rebuild this squad. One window was never going to cure out issues and injuries have taken a toll.

A manager of his calibre shouldn't need to see him there to know he's not good enough.

That's what confuses me. I'm seeing a player who'd struggle to impress in League One get 30 games a season under one of the best managers of all time.

It's confusing.

Really not sure what people wanted Carlo to do differently today.

Not entirely about today, it’s about months and months of training and educate the squad when it comes to off the ball movement, creating multiple favourable passing options whenever someone has the ball. It requires the least amount of skills and maximum amount of effort. I’m not sure if carlo is at fault or the players when it comes to basic football.

What choices do we have right now?

A game like tonight, when we got the goal back, that’s where the crowd would have come in handy. Likewise Fulham, even though it was ruled out, King’s goal would have lifted the crowd to push us on but it stands to reason, as with other clubs, you shouldn’t just need a crowd to push on in games you’re behind in, you shouldn’t be in that position in the first place

Godfrey, Digne, Keane/Mina, Allan, Doucoure, Richarlison and DCL are fine. 6 or 7 players who I don't mind staying at all. I'm not even counting James due to him being made of glass.

It's the likes of Iwobi/Bernard/Sigurdsson/Coleman/Holgate (RB)/arguably Pickford that need replacing.

So we don't need a wholesale renovation, but we do need a major one - £100m+ invested.

If Carlo doesn't get it, I'm sure he'll walk.

Mate think we have no luxury to rest players. The chance of beating Citeh with this dreadful midfield is about 10%. I thought we would beat Burnley at home sigh.
I agree but people are setting it up to moan about Carlo, no so much next week but in the following weeks if we dont get Europe
