That's the point I've been making though mate. We were much better when we had our first choice midfield fit - September to November. Since then we've been struggling creatively. But what I'm saying is it's because of the midfield imbalance

I just think worse teams than us play alot better than us and have more of a go, its frustrating to watch

If u have a dogs off war manager you will always be a dogs of war team... we need to kick on from that.... if this aranian etc u should know better than most Everton aren’t we

The arl fella's in the fanbase yearn for the school of science but that aint ever coming back with the league the way it is where you need £1 billion to buy a load of top quality players.

The teams that have upset the odds in the big domestic leagues (Leicester, Athletico) have done so by grit, hard graft, pace, high intensity everything we haven't got.

The worry is without the type of manager who feeds off those types of attributes in his players that we'll continue to be a flip flop club.

Its easy for Carlo to have quiet leadership when he's managing a world class squad of highly motivated players - totally different to a dressing room with the likes of Tom Davies, Andre Gomes and Yerry Mina in it

He's untouchable and rightly so.
Mosh would bin the whole squad (please do) and most of the other people at the club before Carlo comes under pressure.
Why exactly? He's lucky that GP has been closed for the last 12 months. We keep hearing football pundits come out with the phrase 'you're only as good as your last game'. At some stage that has got to be applied to Carlo.

With that squad tonight? Not really.

With Kean and Gordon? We’d have more options going forward sure, but both have done nothing whatsoever in an Everton shirt to even suggest we’d have got a better result.
I appreciate that people want players to prove it here but the guy who is good enough to play in CL knockout games for one of the 5 to 8 best teams in the world would make a difference in our team even if previously our poor management made that seem not true.

You know why. His pay, his fame and his trophies. Not to mention the fact he's statistically one of our best performing managers in our history.

And I would say he's unlucky that Goodison has been shut. When we had fans, even a couple thousand back in December, our home record was much, much better.

There is absolutely no style to speak of with the football but the only positive is that in the probably 7 or so games we’ve managed to put a full team out in this season we’ve played really nice stuff
I agree we don't have a recognizable style beyond being known as the team that completely bypasses their midfield. We don't know how to adapt when the preferred players are absent. It's definitely a challenge but that falls under the manager's responsibility.

Worse than Kopites our fans sometimes.

Mussing 4 central midfielders, missing wingers and a striker, yet fir some reason its Carlos fault.

Seasons fizzled out, but Christ, Allardyce, Koeman and Silva should be enough for you to appreciate the monumental project on Ancelottis hands here.
That was for one game. What have been the excuses for the rest of the s***e we've been forced to watch?
