I think that comment needs to be strongly caveated.

Some of the people he hired were absolute disasters. He is the boss so takes some responsibility, but by and large, he gave everyone all the tools they needed.

In 26 years as a manager Carlo has won 4 League titles. That is despite managing Juventus, AC Milan, Chelsea, PSG, Bayern and Napoli.

That is patchy.

So how many other managers have won the league in 4 of the main 5 countries, and won the CL 3 times? I'll happily have a look at that list.

I know what you're saying mate but, we were beaten by a Sheff Utd side at home who were relegated ages ago, who were getting bummed left, right and centre and had lost 15 times away from home this season before playing us, surely it should be them who are burned out and devoid of any confidence? At the end of the day we were still fighting for a European place and that should have been a massive motivation.

Attitude. Its stunk this place out for as many years as i can remember. Its comes from within the club and also a lot of Everton fans. How many on here think we have a divine right to beat so many teams. Its still there. And its both sides of the coin. We go into games against teams we think we will just roll over and go into games like liverpool with an attitude that we are already beat.
Every game should be we've a chance. But have to earn it.
Saying that. Almost every post i type now i cant get away from i actualy think we have just to many average players.

I do have to laugh when I read Ancelotti talking about joining him in the Everton project.

We're a midden of a team, and he bears some of that responsibility. He's let things slide for months. Even before the derby win - which got him a lot of breathing space - we were ramshackle. He talks about wanting to have players who are hungry to play for the team, but has ignored younger lads like Gordon who should easily have been in the team over an atrocious Iwobi.

If he leaves in the summer I wont be that arsed. If he stays, he really needs to bring in the type of players who can make us a physical force on the pitch as well as being technically proficient - and players who aren't looking to sit in the treatment room marking time and drawing massive wages and generally taking the piss.

James and allan were an instant injection of quality. It was one of them gambles i think this club needed to make last summer as the quality was, and still is, pretty awful. If both stayed fit for the season. That was the hook.
Rodriguez has played games this season where he's clearly a move and step ahead of those in blue shirts around him.
This summer has to be different.
No guarentee we will even get what we need. Euros wont help that either.

The Euros won’t be an issue if our director of football has made actual plans around it. We’ll see in due course if that has been the case.
