We’re underperforming because most of our players are slow, Davies being one of them. Yet every time they’re focussed on individually we get the same ‘it doesn’t matter if Keane doesn’t have pace’, ‘Davies doesn’t need to be quick’ ‘Siggurdson needs quick players around him’. Put all these players together in a team with Bernard or Gomes who are also slow and then it does become a massive problem. I’m not sure why that’s a strange view to hold.

But your original post didn't have anything to do with Sigurdsson or Keane or putting them all in the same team did it? Was purely a random attack on our best performing midfielder.

Lol at Gylfi always getting it as the first name that rolls off the tongue, when he’s the only midfielder / attacker who has actually contributed anything in terms of goals and assists this season from the Everton “turd collection” of footballers.

Not saying he is good by the way, but there’s half a dozen more I’d have used as an example before him.

Try Gomes, Iwobi, Bernard, King, Delph and Davies before you start on Gylfi.

I said Sigurdsson purely because he was the first player brought on at the weekend to change the game...

I think he's waited till Europe is out of sight to start going a bit public with these type of thoughts. Not good management when there was always something to play for.

So he just lets it fester until there is nothing to play for? You don't live with problems, you sort them. We have too many players who don't work hard enough and they know they have been getting away with it.

It’s not a random attack is it. I’m saying he’s not good enough. He’s not good enough as an individual. If you put him with other players who also aren’t good enough then they’re all not good enough. That produces a team that’s not good enough. I don’t see how any of that is inconsistent. Whether it’s a silly video that prompts it or not the overriding point remains the same, in my opinion Tom Davies is not good enough .

same set up, same midfield that just got played through by Sheff Utd. Two players who can’t play together in a three playing together.

He’s had a handful of decent games, that’s it.

He wins most improved player, purely based on the fact that this time last season he was floating around the pitch like a feather in the breeze, being so insignificant that it was incredible to believe he was earning a living in the premier league.
Now he looks like he can do a job, maybe with better players around him it will make him look better.
But, we aren’t breaking into any top 6 with Tom Davies playing regularly, based on his handful of decent performances this season.
