Yes because he’s been there before. He’s been at every top club. He must know that whatever he does there he will be fired within 24 months. Short of winning the CL every season he will be fired.

Their squad is a mess with Modric Benzema Ramos all coming to the end and Ronaldo/Bale gone. They apparently have financial issues also. There’s a high likelihood he’ll struggle to hit CL winning heights then he’ll be gone.

I thought he wanted to security of a project with time to build over this type of scenario. Obviously he wanted out though, maybe there’ll be a reason that comes out for that.

I suspect he wants to win trophies, and that stuff about building a project is fine, but he's 61. He will be sacked within 2 years, but will have won more medals along the way.
