2020/21 Carlo Ancelotti

He does change the team around an awful lot, doesn't he? it's not good if we're aiming for consistency but appreciate that fitness issues have forced his hand at times.

I just hope that he's using this season to find out as much as be can about the squad and that it's all ultimately a means to an end. He can't spend too much time trying to find his best team/system though because we'll just do absolutely nothing.
Luxury he doesn't have,no European football and we'll lose Richarlison at a minimum. If DCL gets anywhere near the high teens or twenty goals the big boys will come knocking.

Money has absolutely nothing to do with it. We could pay a billion a month. It doesnt change the fact that anybody. ANYBODY, coming into Everton last year wasnt going to have everything run smooth.
Dont see anybody saying he cant be questioned. But the bigger picture is this job has to have time to turn it.
The vast majority of the squad are still what he walked into. We've watched them for the past 3/4 years and know so many are gutless frauds.
Take more than a year to move them on.
Whatever he is paid, it IS Ancelotti's job to turn out a team that can defend. In that regard, I think we have gone backwards in the last 12 months.

They have an actual team. We have a group of players. There's a difference and it shows every time we play. Half of the team don't belong at this club and don't care about it. With attitudes like that it doesn't matter who our good players are. The rats will always drag them down.
And you don’t think our manager should have us playing more like a team in the 6 months (or whatever it is) that he’s been here?

We were in danger of being relegated when he arrived.

Were we though? I mean Ferguson picking up 5 points from 3 hard games pretty much meant we’d steered clear of it. Similar to how everyone unanimously agrees that Unsworth had us safe by the time Allardyce came in and that Allardyce didn’t contribute anything towards it.

ZERO points? You expected literally nothing from those three fixtures? Not even a draw? I haven’t discovered Everton in the last two years and I’m very disappointed we lost those three fixtures. If those results happened under any other manager there’d be uproar.
I don't expect anything from games anymore. I just go into matches hoping for a positive result these days. I've seen enough dross in recent years for me to know that it would be folly to expect anything.

If these results had happened under any manager we'd be hearing the same conversations. That's why we've had six managers in the last seven years ffs.......

We have been saying the same things about our last 4 managers excluding Fat Sam (I say excluding because nothing was expected of him). This is not going to change until all the mediocrity feasting away on the club are cleared out. Whether it be board members, trainers, players, theatre impresarios, toffee ladies, or whatever else anybody can think of, get rid. Another new manager won’t do jack, it will eventually be, same old, same old.

It helped but we were not clear of it. The ferguson impact was what we needed right there and then. Very moyes like. But that football would have got found out very quickly by teams.
Rightly or wrongly we had to go pedigree mananger and hope that he can build over a few years.
The dogs of war had its day.

Are we not allowed to question decisions he is making though? Because from what I’ve seen, his bizarre team selections have directly contributed to at least two of those three defeats. He can’t get a free pass because he’s Carlo Ancelotti, I’m sorry. He has to do better.

Obviously you're allowed to question him to your hearts content. Clearly that's what some of our fans do best. Question the manager while giving the useless morons on the pitch a complete free pass.
