2020/21 Carlo Ancelotti

I actually don't think I've read anything more ridiculous on this site and there's some absolute wham spoken on here.

A manager who's won every trophy going, has won three trophies in the premier league alone, isn't as good a manager as one who has spent most of his managerial career in the spotlight of the other Madrid. Ok, good luck with that one.

Some people in here are making out that Ancelloti's success is a generation ago which is absolutely not true.
Reality is that we've a squad so uneven that it might as well be a the go compare man on a see-saw with a dwarf. We all know that so to imply any other manager would have us winning the league in his first season is absolute nonsense.

Football changes - Moyes had us qualifying for Europe with a team of fighters yet got relegated with Sunderland looking like a bunch of cowards.

Comparing Ancelotti under Chelsea to Ancelotti of 2020 is totally different.

you want carlo out and have ZERO idea who to replace him with - carry on lol lol

Do not argue for firing Ancelotti, but since you are asking. I would replace Brands with Ragnick, and give him all the authority to make the changes he thought were necessary.

"The playing style should be highly recognisable – so much so that, even on a bad day, you can still recognise the kind of football that the team wants to play.

By doing that, you create an identity across the whole club. Not only with the players, but also the coaching staff and even the fans".

Of course, this is just fantasy, but your question was hypothetical.

Top7 is a great position for Everton as well. Spending half a billion mostly on players who wouldn't improve a championship side.
Top 7 doesn't exist imo what does that even mean? I'm being flippant about David Moyes and his "I can't win trophies so I'll create a top 7 one"

For me it's a case of play good football and challenge and we've not done that in a long time.

It’s very difficult arguing for managers who have only had success in lesser leagues. The key difference is that if you have a massive budgetary advantage in the bundesliga (like Leipzig started getting over all but two teams) then you can take a team from almost anywhere in the division and pretty soon you’ll be in the CL. In England you can throw billions at it but there’s 6 sides who will always have equal or greater resources and are locked in with regular European football. Rangnick’s roadmap for Leipzig and Salzburg probably included European football in the very near future. He could never make that guarantee in the prem.

Look at Brands even. Within a few seasons PSV can win the title in Holland (where let’s face it they have one at best two competitors) with a manager who wasn’t even good enough for Derby County.

If a billionaire took over a team like Firoentina, put any semi competent manager in place and kept backing them in transfer windows then within a season or two they’d be in Europe and then in the CL and not before long probably challenging Juve for the title like Napoli were. You can try the exact same thing in England and be fortunate to finish in the top ten.

It’s a completely different ball game trying to build success in the premier league than anywhere else.
