Its laughable Murphy saying if Rogers had come in instead of Carlo we would have been better off, the amount of crap we had in our squad compared to Leicester was obscene. He is hardly known for making his teams solid. Maybe when we got Silva yes but still the issue is our squad and the blame lies with Brands and the board. Its going to take years to rebuild

So for a club who has qualified for the Europa league just once in 5 years and even that was 4 years ago (I think). You think we should sack a manager who can’t provide it in his first full season?

Do I believe Everton should be finishing above the likes of Leicester, Southampton, Wolves, etc to finish in Europe whilst paying a manager £11m p/a with players like Digne, Richarlison, DCL and James? Yes.

If he doesn’t deliver Europe, he will have failed and will deservedly get the sack.

Name one player still here and involved from Martinez' time besides Coleman. The other 2 you can chalk up to simply being crap managers (add in Martinez too). Don't make it out like they've outlasted EVERYONE and still, somehow, have a contract.

My point being that we have an undoubtedly world class manager. Why isn't he able to get a tune out of just about any of our starters bar DCL and Keane?

The likes of Sigurdsson on his massive contract, with massive wages, has seen three managers off ( if you include Allardyce )

How do you suggest we " motivate " him ??.

People talk about sticking them in the U23`s, but as a team we can`t afford to do that, as we haven`t got the squad to fill the gaps left by the over paid, can`t be arsed waisters.

Until these players are gone, we`re stuck with them.

They cant play to a level that is acceptable for where we need to be. They don't run as much as opponents, they don't battle or fight. They are easy to play against and don't want to win enough.

No manager could make them change. They've coasted ever since they came to the club in many cases.

Yeah but the players you’re talking about hardly play these days. Sigurdsson has not started now for a few games and is now a big part player. delph very rarely plays. So who are you talking about? The keeper? The centre halves Ancelotti has rotated? Made captain? The one he signed? Or the two midfielders he signed? Or james? DCL? Richarlison? Gomes who has been more or less stuck on the bench consistently now too? Iwobi? Maybe iwobi? Is he the reason we’re awful?

The way people talk you’d think we still had schneiderlin and sigurdsson as our centre miss and tosun up front. The fact is we consistently have 4 players starting who Ancelotti has signed. A keeper he backs, a centre half handed a 5 year contract, two others he rotates, plus Digne (granted not last two games) DCL and Richarlison. There are also players of the recent era he refuses to play. Yet people still blame Walsh signing Davy Klassen.

Rodgers is a fraud. Just wait until it all unravels at Leicester. He is not a long-term manager.

These players are a known quantity of half-arsed bottlers for the most part.

We're barely a year on since they got played off of the park by LFC U15s.

The thing is, he has 4 new players and could replace a couple more of those bottlers with Nkounkou and Gordon, but won’t do it. He’d rather play a known half-arsed bottler at left back who’s also a finished midfielder. That’s on him.

For once we have to admit we can't just blame the manager we have to blame those who have planned the squad very poorly. Its going to take time to put it right regardless of who the manager is. Yes its terminally depressing but that's the way I see it.
