2020/21 Carlo Ancelotti

Yeah but the players you’re talking about hardly play these days. Sigurdsson has not started now for a few games and is now a big part player. delph very rarely plays. So who are you talking about? The keeper? The centre halves Ancelotti has rotated? Made captain? The one he signed? Or the two midfielders he signed? Or james? DCL? Richarlison? Gomes who has been more or less stuck on the bench consistently now too? Iwobi? Maybe iwobi? Is he the reason we’re awful?
We have no fit full backs he trusts. Right back hasn't been addressed for years, Seamus Coleman is 32 and injury prone.
We have virtually no options if Richy or DCL need rest or rotation. I'd wager our entire bench currently has forward options that are not of the standard on the pitch.
We have no proper DM the one we have has been injured for over a year.
These are endemic issues with the squad and go back years to Brands, Walsh, Silva, Koeman and the board.
Yes you can question Carlo on formations or training but most of the tools he has aren't fit for purpose.

If one thing has become clear since 2016, it's that you just know when a manager's time is up.

For Ancelotti, this will be at the end of his contract. Reputation and status mean as much in football as any other walk of life, and I'm certain that the DoF's head would roll long before the manager's in this case.

My worry is that Everton are wasting this opportunity by failing to manage the squad. People talk about it being impossible to shift the underperforming high earners, but the likes of Delph and Sigurdsson would have soon had their agents sorting out moves if they'd been ordered to see out their contracts training with the kids.

If the club wanted someone to make do and mend until these big deals expire in 2022, they should have hired according to this brief. As always, the situation is unworkable because the people 'running' the club don't know what they're doing.
Some stuff on Toffeeweb about your last point - via TheEsk I know but its no use shooting the messenger.

They cant play to a level that is acceptable for where we need to be. they don't run as much as opponents, they don't battle or fight. They are easy to play against and don't want to win enough.

No manager could make them change. They've coasted ever since they came to the club in many cases.
Not saying you're wrong, as that's how it appears.

Can any budding Stattos out there put up some mileage on them? OPTA or summat isn't it?

As I have no idea where to look there any chance you can summarize for us?
sighs - OK;
The club isnt run right, Moshiri...poor decisions and appointments and the board isnt fit for purpose and doesn't have a scooby...you know - all the stuff that comes out when we go on a losing run...which doesn't mean it ain't true.

The stats on this subject are very misleading as some of our players deliberately jog into areas where they can’t receive a pass, or run up to an opponent and stop short of putting a tackle in. Sigurdsson for example “covers the most ground” out of anyone in our team, but you see him touch the ball about 10 times in a 90 minute game.

Aah, right then, back to the arl Mk1 eyeball assessment - yep some look lazy and unfit...but I think it maybe mental unfitness, aka, plain old can't be arsed.
Edit; but then again maybe they're just not good enough and or struggling for form.

What a player; just brilliant.
