maybe take a wider sample of form? You know like all the league games Carlo he managed that has us at a points per game ratio that would see us in European football most season. Or keep talking about a 7 game stretch punctuated by two international breaks where we had players suspended and injured.

I am absolutely shook that Bielsa, Hasenhuttl, Potter, Arteta, Nuno are below Ancelotti in the table. How had this happened? The dinosaur can’t even organise a defence or run basic fitness drills yet we’re in third ahead of all these managers who never get it wrong and show continuous progression with a clear way of playing football.

it’s almost as though we hired one of the greatest managers of all time and they had flavour of the month managers.

We seem to play better against good teams, against rubbish we drop down a level. It's as if Carlo can work out what they are going to do, but unpredictable rubbish is hard to suss out

Yes, and also there is added pressure that our expensively assembled squad is now expected to regularly beat the smaller teams. This is pressure that we often don't handle very well and the team often plays nervously and anxiously when you think they should be easily able to carve out a comfortable win.

So much of elite sport is in the mind. This is just another stage of tranforming into a winning squad that we need to overcome. If you have an expectation to finish in the top 4 with 70+ points then you need a number of easy-wins during the course of the campaign. So far I would say that our only such win was the 5-2 against West Brom.
