A great result for Carlo in the bigger picture: proof positive that Moshiri needs to dig deep and fund some acquisitions. People were getting dangerous ideas that beating out-of-form Arsenal and Chelsea sides and squeaking past relegation-bound Sheffield United were evidence that we had enough to seriously compete. We don't. As said all along, we'll be a rollercoaster until Ancelotti has his men in most positions. The current squad can't be trusted. We look a 9th-placed team to me, but the good run will give us possibilities for now. What we do in the market determines if we can push for Europe or settle for 9th.

However, it is still his job to get the best out of them. Nobody was good, but I think Godfrey, Mina and Dacoure were all reasonable tonight.

Think we are so solid and physical with the usual back four for the last few games. I don’t think Holgate is that assure as a cb defensively than being a rb. Coleman is done.

What do you want me to say? Digne is out, Allan is out, Iwobi is out, James wasn’t fit to start. Richarlison decided not to play and we don’t have any better option to replace him. Bernard and Sigurdsson were absolutely awful.

What do you want Carlo to do with that? He started the best team we had available. He made decent subs. If players who have won 4 in a row suddenly aren’t confident enough to find 6 yard passes or put corners into the box properly how is that on him?

They just bottled it. For 20 mins West Hal sat off us and we could have walked through them but these players aren’t good enough. We got very very sloppy and West Ham got back into it.
