i don’t think carlo intend to have us sit deep. It’s simply because we have no midfielders to execute his game plan.

I’m loving people criticising Carlo’s tactics, he’s a pragmatist, he’s looked at his options tonight and decided that as his midfield options were, to say the least, limited, that the only way to get something out of a game against a very good Leicester side was to keep it tight and hope to catch them on the break.
If you look at the amount of key players we have been without and when you take into account the lack of quality of our back up players, he has performed a minor miracle to still have us in touch with the top 4 half way through the season. I really think we are on the verge of something here, there is a very good team spirit at the moment and there are signs there that we are becoming a team that does not like losing.

Personally to get us where we are in the league half way through the season, is a brilliant effort, with the upheaval of injuries, suspensions new players trying to bed in. Just goes to show what a great manager he is. Yes the 2nd half was frustrating. But with the personal on the pitch, I’m not sure what we excepted.
he will still be defensive in certain games, when he’s bought the squad he wants. But I would definitely expect a lot better than tonight when he does

Maybe not the right thread, but interesting to note that we have only the 8th best home record this season, which is interesting because I’ve read all the superfans on here saying that the fans at Goodison actually hinder the performance when they moan. Like Goodison is the only ground where fans moan on the whole planet. Two games we had merely 5% fans this season and we win both games, even Ancelotti mentioned it.

I think he recognised that Leicester are a season ahead of Everton in their development and they are a better team than us. Ancelotti's gameplan reflected that. They showed first 15 minutes how much better than us they are and overall deserved to win.
